Power Shares Long Gold ETF
The PowerShares DB Gold Fund is a Long Gold ETF that seeks to track the DBIQ Optimum Yield Gold Index Excess Return index. It is intended to track the price of gold. The Power Shares DB Gold ETF seeks to achieves this goal by holding gold Futures contracts. Because gold futures contracts have a set expiration date and have to be rolled over at expiration, the DGL ETF may not perfectly track its underlying index or the price of physical gold bullion.
