The ETFS Physical Asian Gold Shares is a gold bullion ETF sponsored by ETF Securities that hold physical gold bullion bars and trades on the NYSE ARCA exchange under ticker symbol (AGOL).
The main goal of the ETF Securities Physical Asian Gold ETF is to reflect the performance of the price of Gold bullion, less the ETF's (Trust's) operating expenses. AGOL buys and holds gold bars in Singapore in a secure vault on behalf of the custodian JP Morgan Chase Bank. The AGOL ETF has a sister ETF, SGOL, that has the same objective but holds its gold bars in Switzerland.
